Important notice: suspicious SharePoint email

We have been made aware that suspicious emails may have been sent from, or may appear to have been sent from, rebecca@lewiscollege.co.uk.

These emails may include a link to a SharePoint document or ask you to open/view a shared file.

Please do not open the SharePoint link, do not download any files, do not enter any login details, and do not approve any sign-in requests connected to this email.

If you have received one of these emails, please delete it. If you have already clicked the link or entered any details:

Please change your email password immediately.

Our IT provider is investigating the matter urgently, and we are taking steps to secure our systems.

We will provide a further update once the issue has been resolved.

12:51 Update:

Our IT provider has now removed the phishing email from our systems.

If you received the suspicious email but did not open the SharePoint link or attachment, you do not need to take any further action. Please delete the email.

If you clicked the SharePoint link, opened the attachment, entered any login details, or approved any sign-in request, please take the following steps:

1. Change your email password immediately.
2. Check your email rules/settings for anything unusual.
3. Delete any rule that automatically deletes, hides, moves, or forwards incoming or outgoing emails.
4. Contact your email provider or IT support if you are unsure.

These rules can sometimes be added by phishing scams to hide emails from your inbox or sent items.
