Below you will find the dictation for your Shorthand Speed Exam at 60 wpm.
Please note the following:
- Please do not listen to the dictation until you are ready to take the dictation down.
- Ensure you have a quiet room, use headphones if you find it easier and ensure you will not be interrupted.
- You can listen to the dictation only once. Access to the exam is tracked in our system.
- After you have taken down the dictation, scan your shorthand notes, circle any wonky outlines and write a better version in the margin.
- Please put your name on your shorthand notes.
- You then have 30 minutes to transcribe the passage. Please prepare this in a Word document with your name at the top.
- Please submit your entry within 40 minutes of your allotted start time stating this is your final submission for this exam.
- To pass there must be 3 or less errors in the transcription so please check this carefully, word for word.
